The Olympic Torch comes to West London

The Olympic Torch will be passing through Hounslow borough around midday and through Ealing in the afternoon. We'll keep you posted on its progress with views and pictures from the scene.

Hounslow reporter Rob Cumber says excitement is building in Hounslow High Street, where the flame is due at about midday. The barriers are up, Union Jacks are fluttering and the best seats are already starting to go.

Bedfont resident Vivienne Rose, 33, is one of the spectators lining the route in Hounslow High Street. She's been waiting with family and friends since 9.15am, while her mother flew in from Seychelles especially.

British Airways worker Jacki Dixon was running the torch in Richmond around half an hour ago. This was how our Heathrow-based sister paper Skyport broke the news she would be taking part. Link
